Tux is a sweet senior soul who was struggling in the shelter environment and truly deserves a second chance. At 8 years old, this lovable couch potato has known the comforts of home and is hoping to find that again — whether through adoption or a foster to adopt family willing to open their heart.
Surrendered due to his previous family’s financial hardships, Tux lost not just his home, but his routine, security, and people. Despite all this change, he’s held onto his gentle nature.
🐾 What We Know About Tux: • Neutered, microchipped & housetrained • Friendly with visitors and affectionate with family • Previously lived peacefully with kids (ages 3+), cats, and other dogs • Enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes • Not destructive when left alone with free roam • Doesn’t like sharing toys, but it’s never escalated beyond a grumble • Big fan of couches, quiet spaces, and staying close to his people
The shelter has been overwhelming for Tux — he was extremely fearful there, but notes from his previous home say he’s not typically a fearful dog. We believe a quiet, patient home will help his true personality shine again.
💙 Tux is looking for a calm place to rest his head — a comfy couch, a caring human, and a daily routine to help him feel safe. Whether you’re ready to adopt or willing to foster-to-adopt, giving Tux a soft place to land could change everything for him.
