Meet Phoenix

Phoenix is a stunning 3½-year-old Great Dane with a mostly black coat and a sweet white chest patch. Since moving into her foster home, her goofy, affectionate personality has truly blossomed. She’s a Velcro Dane through and through—whether she’s leaning on you, sitting on your lap (yes, all 100+ pounds of her!), or following you from room to room, Phoenix wants to be wherever her people are. 💕🐾

• 🐶 Affectionate Goofball – A lap dog at heart who loves leaning in close.

• 🛋️ Couch Companion – Happiest lounging with her favorite humans.

• 🎾 Playful Spirit – Loves toys, crinkly stuffed animals, and her elk antler.

• 🐾 Velcro Pup – Wants to be by your side no matter what you’re doing.

• 🌳 Adventure Ready – Loves trail walks where she can sniff and explore.

• 😅 Sensitive Soul – Startles at loud noises, busy streets, or sudden movements, but recovers well with reassurance.

✨ Training & Manners:

• ✅ Housetrained & crate trained

• ✅ Knows “sit” and “down,” working on “stay” and “leave it/off”

• ✅ Treat motivated and eager to please—super trainable!

• 🚶 Walks beautifully on leash, stays close, and doesn’t lunge at people or dogs

• 🐕 Prefers to ignore other dogs, though she’s never shown aggression

• 🐱 Cat-friendly—her best friend in her previous home was a cat!

✨ At Home:

• Sleeps on a cushion at the foot of the bed, checking in with soft nose taps at night

• Settled in after about a week and now feels at home

• Barks or stands by the door when she needs to go outside

• Does well when left alone, though she prefers shorter absences and thrives with families who are home more often

• Loves car rides (though best with a light stomach before travel)
