Meet Niko

Dear Foster Families,

My name is Niko.  I am being surrendered due to no fault of my home.  My human is moving and I’m told I can’t go with him. Instead of being sad, I am here to find a wonderful  new couch to call my own.  And I will happily share a couch, too – kids, dogs, adult humans – let’s all pile on together!

At 5 years young, I still have good energy and will dazzle you with my running and playing outside.  I’m also quite smart – I can show you how to open gate doors and you get stuck.  Following commands? Mehhh – I could work on these with treat motivation of course. 

Overall, I am a wonderful age to join a new family:  I am not a wild puppy but, I still have lots of energy to join an active family.  My current human describes be as “so loving and dedicated”.  Yep, that’s me! I hope to find a forever family that I can faithfully love forever and ever.

• Good with children (lives with children of all ages from age 5-17 yrs)

• Good with dogs (lives with male dog)

• Cats Unknown

• Not a barker

• Friendly, affectionate and loving

• Walks with harness; will pull some; not reactive – but curious in other people and dogs

• Moderate energy – loves to run and play outside in yard
