I bet you are wondering about my name, Kai.  In some languages it means “king”.  But there are lots of languages with my name and it can mean ocean, willow tree, food, meal, shell and the list goes on.

I am looking for a Foster Family that may have a larger Dog or two for me to play with.  I’ve lived with larger dogs, but the little ones make me a bit nervous – never know when they are gonna jump out from a little hidey hole, ya know.  I’ve not been around cats, but I tend to think they might be somewhat like little dogs.

I am really friendly to family and people I know, but a bit shy with strangers, so slow introductions would help me.  I am typically pretty calm and friendly.

I know some basic commands, and even know how to clean my mouth after I drink water.  I’m crate trained and house trained.  And I really enjoy shredding my Stuffies,

I’ve been around kiddos 3 years and up and do fine with them, unless my tail smacks them when I’m happy.  That makes them not so happy, but I promise it’s not on purpose.

My biggest claim to fame is the my big ol’ heart in my big ol’ chest.  Just give me a chance to show you what an Affectionate Great Dane is like.  People are just my cup of tea.  Snuggles and Pat Pats, that’s where it’s at.

Do you want to Foster me and discover the real meaning of my name with me?  Please contact Karen at fostering@rmgreatdane.org and Candice at placements@rmgreatdane.org.
