Meet Flo

SPECIAL NEEDS:  In Shelter, Las Cruses, NM

Say hello to Flo, a 7-year-old Great Dane with a heart as big as her paws! This lovable lady is on the lookout for a foster family where she can spread her snuggles. Flo’s previous owner, who sadly couldn’t care for her any longer, surrendered her to a shelter to find a home where she can live out her golden years in style. Like all shelter pups, we have limited information on Flo. 

Flo is the kind of dog who makes friends wherever she goes. She’s a pro at giving gentle nudges and loves to meet new people, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and her signature goofy grin. When it comes to playtime, Flo’s all about keeping things gentle—no roughhousing here! She’s a softie through and through, and her favorite activities include playing with dogs of all shapes and sizes and soaking up all the belly rubs you can offer.

Taking Flo for a walk is a breeze; she’s a total leash champ! Whether it’s a leisurely stroll around the block or an adventure in the park, she’s up for it, happily trotting by your side. Flo used to live with another senior Great Dane named Ashley, and while they’d love to stay together, they’re perfectly fine finding separate homes too. So, whether you’re looking for double the Dane fun or just one fabulous floofy friend, Flo’s got you covered!

One thing to know about Flo—she’s not a fan of cats. If there’s a feline in the yard, she’s off to the races! So, a cat-free home is a must. We’re not sure how she is with kids, but if you have little ones at home, a meet-and-greet with slow introductions would be a great way to see if they hit it off.
