At 3½ years old, Bunker is a gentle, goofy soul who’s as sweet as he is handsome. With his sleek black coat and a white chest patch, this big guy has settled beautifully into his foster home and is showing off his loving, laid-back personality. 🐾💙

✨ Bunker’s Personality:

  • 🛋️ Velcro Dog + Couch Potato – He loves being wherever you are, whether it’s lounging on the couch, keeping you company in the kitchen, or snoozing nearby.

  • 😂 Goofy & Sweet – Known to make “elk calls” when he yawns and dish out head hugs when he wants extra love.

  • 🐾 Gentle with People – Greets visitors happily, paws gently when he wants more pets, and thrives on affection.

  • 🚗 Adventure Buddy – Loves car rides and will happily tag along wherever you go.

  • 🐕 Dog Friendly – Gets along with dogs of all sizes; prefers calm companionship over rough play.


  • 🐱 Cat Friendly – Ignores the cat in his foster home.

✨ Training & Manners:

  • ✅ Housetrained and trustworthy with free roam (no destructive habits!)

  • ✅ Knows sit, down, come, stay, and “leave it”—though he’s still practicing consistency

  • ✅ Calm when left alone, often just hanging out with the other household dog

  • 🚶 Leash Trained – Walks on a gentle leader; still learning not to be a tripping hazard but improving with practice

  • Belly rubs in the grass 🌿

  • Rolling in the sun ☀️

  • Daily walks (he does little excited hops when he sees the leash!)

  • Snuggling in close for head hugs 🥰

🏡 Bunker’s Ideal Home:
 Bunker would love a calm, loving family with a fenced yard, comfy couches, and plenty of belly rubs. He’d do well with another calm pet or as your one-and-only shadow dog. While he hasn’t been tested with children in foster care, his past family had kids and he’s believed to be great with them.

💫 Bunker is affectionate, funny, and gentle—a true Velcro Dane who just wants to be close. With his goofy “elk calls,” sweet nature, and love of car rides, he’ll quickly become your best friend.
