Meet Bolt

Status: Available

Sex: Neutered Male    Age:  2 yrs    Ears: Natural

Color: Black Mix  Weight: 102 lbs

Since settling into his foster home, Bolt has proven to be an absolute gem! This handsome guy is full of life, affection, and charm — and he’s got just the right mix of puppy energy and cuddly sweetness to steal your heart.

🐶 Personality Snapshot:

  • Playful, outgoing, and affectionate

  • A big-time leaner (if you know, you know 🥰)

  • Quiet in the house and friendly to everyone he meets

  • Still a little mouthy, but learning quickly with guidance

  • Rides like a champ in the car — usually just curls up and naps

  • Loves walks, playing with other dogs, and snoozing next to his people

Bolt is friendly with both people and dogs, and while he may come on a little strong at first (he’s just really excited to make new friends!), he settles down with a proper introduction. His foster has introduced him to dogs of all shapes and sizes, and he’s proven to be a polite playmate who’s eager to interact and share space respectfully.

Though Bolt hasn’t had the chance to meet any cats, he hasn’t shown any signs of prey drive and tends to be gentle and curious with animals overall.

🏡 Home Life:

  • Crate trained and house trained

  • Knows basic commands like “sit” and “down”

  • Leash trained and well-behaved on walks

  • Sleeps and lounges on furniture (he’s a cuddle pro!)

  • No signs of resource guarding — he’s happy to share toys and food

  • Still needs supervision when left alone — like many pups, he’ll chew if he’s bored. Crating or keeping him in a dog-safe room works best!

Bolt is still learning some of the finer points of house manners (we’re looking at you, table surfing), but with consistent, positive reinforcement, he’s making steady progress. He loves tug-of-war, romping in the yard, and snuggling up on the couch or bed when playtime is over.

And yes — true to his name — Bolt has zoomies for days, especially when there’s snow involved! ❄️ He’s not just fast; he’s joyful. Watching him run around with pure happiness is one of those little reminders of how fun and full of life dogs can be.

💞 The Perfect Home for Bolt:

Bolt would thrive in a home that enjoys an affectionate, active companion. He’s looking for a family who’s up for daily walks, playtime, doggy socializing, and plenty of cuddles. He does best in an enclosed yard or on a leash, as his explorer instincts tend to kick in when he’s off-leash. He’d do best with a family ready to continue basic training and help him polish those puppy edges.

Whether he’s lounging on a road trip, meeting new friends, or curling up after a good romp, Bolt is always happiest when he’s close to his people.

If you’re looking for a lovable goofball who brings the energy, the cuddles, and the laughs — Bolt might be your perfect match. ⚡🐕💙
