Bear is the total package—smart, goofy, loving, and just a little cautious with new people. At only 14 months old, Bear had never been walked or socialized, so the world was a big, overwhelming place for him. In his foster home, he’s been making amazing progress and proving he’s a quick learner who thrives with patience and guidance. He’s still very much a giant puppy—curious, sometimes clumsy, and learning the ways of the world one new experience at a time.

🐶 Social Style: Bear loves his family and is a loyal shadow in true Velcro-dog fashion. He can be wary of strangers (both men and women), so slow introductions are a must. He’d prefer if new people let him make the first move—it’s hard to resist his handsome face, but patience wins him over every time.

🚗 Adventurer at Heart: Loves car rides—he even sits in the back seat like he’s being chauffeured. Walks twice a day are his jam (as long as it’s not raining—he’s made of sugar, apparently).

🎾 Play & Energy: Bear’s toy box is his happy place—tug-of-war, catching toys, chewing bones—he’s in. He’s a big chewer, so durable toys are a must. He loves ice cubes in his water and thinks the garden hose is fantastic, but the pool? Not so much.

🐕 With Other Dogs: Bear wants to play with every dog he meets on walks and may do best with a well-matched dog sibling, though any introductions should be careful due to a past resource-guarding situation. On leash, he’s polite with both big and small dogs.

🏠 Home Life: House trained, trustworthy with free roam, knows multiple commands and even responds to hand signals. Gentle Leader pro after just a month. Not a fan of being gated in but does fine when left out. He’s affectionate, leans on his people, and will gladly keep you company during chores, TV time, or naps.

💡 Ideal Family:
A home without small children (he’s a big, strong pup and can be too rough for little ones). A confident, patient leader who will continue his training and help him build confidence with strangers. Bonus points if there’s a dog friend to play with and a yard to zoom in.

Bear’s the perfect mix of “chill couch buddy” and “let’s go play” energy, with a heart that just wants to love and be loved. With the right family, this handsome boy will continue to blossom into the amazing companion we know he can be.
