Meet Ashley

Ashley, a sweet and affectionate 7-year-old Great Dane, is on the lookout for a warm and welcoming foster family. Her journey to find a new home began when her previous owner, an elderly individual who could no longer care for her, made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her. Now, Ashley is hoping to find a place where she can receive the love and attention she deserves. Like all shelter pups, our information on Ashley is limited. 

From the moment you meet Ashley, her gentle and loving nature will shine through. She’s a true people dog, always ready to greet visitors with a wagging tail and a friendly nuzzle. Ashley adores human company and is known for her tender playfulness—she’s never rough, always careful to avoid using her teeth or claws. This gentle giant is as affectionate as they come, and she’ll quickly become your loyal companion.

Ashley’s love for other dogs is just as strong. She enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes. Whether it’s a small terrier or another large breed, Ashley is happy to have a playmate by her side. Her leash manners are great, making her an absolute joy to take on walks. She’s accustomed to living with other dogs and would be thrilled to join a home where she can continue to have canine friends.

In her previous home, Ashley shared her life with another senior Great Dane, Flo, who is also 7 years old. While these two gentle souls can be placed together, they are equally content to find separate homes. If you’re open to fostering both, they would certainly bring double the love into your life.

It’s important to note that Ashley isn’t a fan of cats. She has a strong prey drive and will chase them, so she needs a cat-free environment. As for children, we don’t have much information about how she interacts with them, so if there are kids in your home, a meet-and-greet and slow introductions would be the best way to ensure everyone gets along.

Ashley is ready to settle into a home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by love and care.
