Meet Vader

Meet Vader!  

“My name is Vader.  You may be thinking of different Vader from a galaxy far far away  That’s not me.  I’m the Vader from the galaxy known as the Rocky Mountains and the Great Dane “Force” of love is strong with me!

I am being surrendered due to no fault of my owner.  My family is moving and I am unable to go with them.  They know the perfect home is waiting for me. 

I am a cat friendly (lives with cats), kid friendly, generally dog friendly.

I had issues with a male lab mix in my house with resource guarding of food and toys but those incidents have not happened in over two years, ever since there was a “snip snip”. Yikes!  I previously lived with a senior female Great Dane as well and we had so much fun playing.  Getting to play with someone my size is heaven.  I really miss her!

I am accustomed to having open spaces and bigger pieces of land.  I will happily follow humans around all day and I do great riding in the truck.  Inside, I am a calm couch lounger.  Outside you can find my catching rays from the sun or performing epic zoomies.”   

The Great Dane Force is strong in this Vader!

• Good with dogs with proper introductions. (Has a history of resource guarding with a male Lab mix but has subsided); lived with senior Great Dane

• Good with respectful children (Older children best due to his size)

• Good on leash

• Loves to ride in truck

• Not an “escape artist” – would do great on a farm; larger piece of land.
