Meet Roxxy

Roxxy is a 3–4-year-old Great Dane eager to begin her new chapter and live her best life. Rescued by Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue Inc. from a backyard breeder, she gave her final litter of puppies a loving and secure start in a foster home. Now that her puppies have found their forever families, it’s Roxxy’s turn to find the loving home she truly deserves.

Personality Highlights:
🐾 Outgoing yet laid-back, Roxxy is the perfect mix of sociable and serene.
🐾 She’s a “Velcro dog,” loving to stay close to her family but also enjoys her independence.
🐾 Roxxy thrives on affection, especially from teenagers, and will soak up all the attention she can get.
🐾 Though quiet and gentle, she has a playful streak, occasionally chasing or wrestling with other dogs.

Quirks & Preferences:
☀️ Sunbathing is her favorite pastime, and she loves to lounge in the warm weather. If it’s cold or dark, though, she’s quick to head inside.
🚗 Car rides are a highlight of her day! She adores the family tradition of bus stop drop-offs and pick-ups but appreciates a little boost to get into the car.
🎆 Roxxy is terrified of fireworks, so she’ll need a calm and comforting home during noisy celebrations.
🛋️ She loves the comfort of her crate or a cozy spot like the family “Lovesac.” While she enjoys her family’s company, she also likes quiet moments to herself for naps.

Training & Home Etiquette:
✔️ Crate-trained and house trained with no accidents.
✔️ Knows basic commands like “sit” and “off.”
✔️ Trustworthy with free roam and not destructive in the home.
✔️ Plays gently and can easily give up toys or food.

Interactions:
🐾 Friendly with family and visitors but can be shy, needing gentle introductions and time to adjust.
🐾 Good with large dogs, although she prefers occasional play and tends to keep to herself.
🐾 Needs gentle corrections when training
