Meet Odie

Status:  Waiting Transport

Sex: M    Age: 7 yrs    Ears: Natural

Color: White  Weight: 122 lbs

Odie is a quiet, low-key gentleman who recently found himself in a shelter after being surrendered through no fault of his own. Like many shelter pets, Odie’s full story is still unfolding—but what we do know so far shows the heart of a gentle, easygoing dog who’s looking for peace, comfort, and a place to call home.

🛋️ Personality

Odie is a classic couch potato. He’s calm, quiet, and friendly with visitors, showing no signs of fear or aggression toward men, women, or children. Though he hasn’t shown much interest in toys or play at the shelter, that may change once he feels safe and settled in a loving home. He appears to be more independent than clingy and seems to enjoy a relaxed, low-stress environment.

🐾 What We Know So Far

  • Previously lived with a 2-year-old female Great Dane

  • Unknown if he’s crate trained or fully trustworthy with free roam

  • Has not shown any signs of aggression

  • Unknown with cats

  • Will need a secure, well-fortified yard, as he may test or escape weak fencing

  • Does not appear fearful of people or loud environments

🏡 What Odie Needs

Odie would thrive in a calm, stable home where he can enjoy his golden years in peace. While we’re still learning about his preferences, we believe he’ll do best with a family that understands the unique needs of senior dogs and is patient as he transitions into home life.

Odie is currently looking for a forever home, and his personality will continue to shine as he decompresses outside of the shelter. We’ll provide updates as we learn more from his foster family.
