🌟 Meet Misty! 🌟

Misty is a 2-year-old Great Dane Mix with a heart full of love, a streak of silliness, and plenty of zoomies to share. She’s sweet, playful, and affectionate—a true Velcro Dane who wants nothing more than to be by your side. But like many young Danes, Misty is still learning boundaries and will need an experienced home to help her thrive. 💜🐾

✨ Misty’s Personality:

  • 🐶 Goofy + Playful – Loves toys, zoomies, and following her people everywhere.

  • 🛋️ Velcro Girl – Sweet and affectionate, happiest when she’s with her humans.

  • 🚫 No Boundaries (Yet!) – Pushy with food and personal space—needs consistent training.

  • 🐕 Dog Selective – Does fine with larger male dogs but has shown same-sex aggression. Best as an only dog or with a large, easygoing male.

  • 👶 Not for Small Kids – While generally friendly with children, she can be rough and has growled when food was involved. A kid-free home is best.

  • ⛈️ Sensitive Soul – Thunderstorms and being left alone make her anxious—she may need crate training to keep her safe when unsupervised.

✨ Training & Manners:

  • ✅ Housetrained & leash trained

  • ✅ Good recall (comes running when called!)

  • 📚 Learning commands like sit, stay, down, and off

  • 🐾 Counter surfer & food seeker—will raid unattended snacks and even cracker boxes if given the chance!

  • 🚙 Car rides require a barrier or second passenger—she’ll try to climb in your lap if not secured.

 Misty is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt family that:

  • Has Giant Breed (preferably Dane) experience 🐾

  • Is dog-savvy and structured—she needs clear rules and consistency

  • Can offer a secure yard where she can stretch her legs and burn off energy

  • Has no small children and preferably no other dogs (though a calm male dog may be considered)

  • Is home often and willing to commit to her continued training
