Looking for a dog who’s the perfect mix of couch potato, toy hoarder, and snuggle monster? Meet Oliver, a 2-year-old Great Dane with a giraffe-like look and a heart of gold. He’s got the charm, the size, and the personality to fill your home—and your lap.

💞 Personality Snapshot

Oliver is a Velcro dog through and through. He’ll follow you from room to room, lean into every hug, and flop onto any available lap. He’s playful, bold, affectionate, and just a little bit lazy.

He loves:

• Toys (seriously—so many toys) 🧸

• Zoomies and bounce sessions in open spaces 🏃‍♂️

• Snuggling on the couch or in his bed 🛋

• Car rides (he’s chill, but might try to sneak into the front seat for cuddles) 🚗

• Gentle walks with a toy in his mouth 🐾

Oliver is a goofball with zero respect for personal space, but that’s part of his charm. He’s 100% joy in a giant dog body.

🐕 Training & Home Habits

• Crate trained

• Housetrained – still gets a bit of happy-pee with too much excitement. Can be managed with keeping greetings calm until he’s had a chance to go outside.

• Trustworthy with free roam (as long as the toilet paper’s put away)

• Knows commands like sit, down, stay, come, heel

• Walks well on a leash with a gentle leader (bonus points if he can carry it himself)

• Sleeps wherever he wants—his “apartment” space includes a giant bed and kennel

• Loves puzzle toys and is very motivated by food (hello, string cheese!) 🧀

Oliver is routine-oriented and does best with structure. He can be a little stubborn, but he’s also incredibly smart and wants to please.

🌾 Health Notes & Needs

Oliver has allergies, including sensitivities to lamb, chicken, grains, and goat milk. He does well with fish, potatoes, and flossies (his favorite treat).

Occasionally, allergy reactions trigger panic episodes, and he needs calm guidance to help him settle. His ideal family will be understanding and ready to support him with patience and love.

🤝 Social Skills

• • Shy with strangers but improving with slow, positive introductions

  • Loves older kids and respectful teens (12 & 14-year-olds were his recent favorites!)

  • Has been around babies with no concerns

• Reactive to other dogs & high prey drive —Oliver must be the only pet and needs a low-dog-traffic environment

He’s made progress in training sessions with one calm, neutral dog, but he truly thrives as a solo companion.

Oliver is looking for a family who is:

• • Patient and consistent with training

• Loving and affectionate (expect to be leaned on often)

• • Experienced with large breeds

  • Has space to run and play

• Committed to a routine lifestyle with time for snuggles and fun

Bonus points if your home is filled with toys and you don’t mind a 130-lb lap dog watching your every move.
