Meet Dango

Looking for the perfect companion to soak up the sunshine with this summer? Meet Dango, a 6-year-old, 156-pound Great Dane who is equal parts beach bum, cuddle expert, and family best friend. Dango's idea of a perfect summer day starts with lounging in a sunny spot, followed by a leisurely stroll, a car ride adventure, and ending with a cozy nap right next to his favorite people. He's a self-proclaimed lap dog trapped in a giant body and has never quite figured out that 156 pounds is a little too big for most laps! A few of Dango's favorite things: 🚗 Car rides and tagging along on adventures 🧸 Squeaky toys, stuffed toys, treats, and bones ☀️ Sunbathing in the yard and relaxing indoors with his people ❤️ Cuddling up as close as possible (preferably in your lap) This handsome gentleman is friendly with everyone he meets, including adults, kids, dogs, cats, and even livestock. He's lived happily with children as young as toddlers and truly loves being part of the family action. Whether you're hosting a backyard BBQ or relaxing in the air conditioning, Dango just wants to be wherever his people are. Dango is house-trained, crate-trained, knows basic commands, and even has a few party tricks up his sleeve. He walks nicely on leash, has mild energy, and is happiest spending time with the people he loves. Like many dogs, Dango isn't a fan of summer fireworks or thunderstorms. He feels safest with a covered crate, white noise, and a little extra reassurance from his family. His dream home would include a yard to enjoy, lots of love, and people who will make him part of their everyday lives. Another dog would be a bonus, but what Dango really wants is a family to call his own. Dango needs a foster or foster-to-adopt home soon due to circumstances beyond his family's control. His owner describes him as a dog with an incredible heart who has overcome a difficult start in life and never stopped loving the people around him.
