Butterfly has a home with her new family on a farm in Claremore, OK! Mark and his wife, Glenn are no strangers to Great Dane nor the Rescue. Mark and Glenn adopted Hera from us in May, and felt like they needed another big lap dog to love. Glenn has raised and fostered Great Danes most of her adult life, and both she and Mark have what it takes to give Butterfly a loving, and safe home. They were drawn to her the minute they saw her on the website, and said it was love at first sight! Along with Hera, Butterfly will also have a new fur brother, Bandit, who is a sweet 1 year old Pit mix. The farm has plenty of space for them to run and play, and with Glenn home most of the time; Butterfly will have a constant companion, and lots of belly rubs! Way to go sweet girl!
Rex has a home with his foster family, Brandon & Pieter, in Ft. Collins CO! This will be the couple’s 3rd Great Dane from RMGDRI, and we love that they keep coming back for more! Brandon & Pieter knew when sweet Rex came into their home as a foster, he was there to stay. Rex will share his new home with a 1.5 year old Pitbull named Bruce, and they love to play tug of war together! They also enjoy playing together in the back yard, going for walks, and just snuggling on the couch with their people. Brandon is able to take Rex and Bruce with him to the vet clinic where he works, so they don’t have to be all alone during the day. We are so happy for you, Rex! Way to go sweet boy!
Oshie has a home with Yvonne and Mike in Longmont, CO! Oshie will be the 2nd Great Dane for the family. They recently lost their sweet boy Maverick, and are anxious to open their hearts and homes to Oshie, who they say could be Maverick’s little brother. Oshie is a pretty active fellow, so landing in this family is perfect for him! Yvonne is excited to take Oshie with her on daily runs, and both Yvonne & Mike love the outdoors, so Oshie will enjoy hiking, camping, and going everywhere they go. He will also be soaking up all the attention, and belly rubs being the only dog in the home. The family has affectionately changed his name to Oshie Moon. Way to go sweet boy!
Frank has a home with his Foster Family in Salt Lake City, UT! Ellie, Patrick, and their 2 children, Grace & Silas, fell in love with Frank from the get go! He came into their home as a foster, and they all knew right away that Frank wasn't going anywhere. He will enjoy all the snuggles, and belly rubs being the only dog in the home. Frank will be living the good life with plenty of outdoor time on hikes, walks around their neighborhood, and just spending quality time with his new family. Way to go sweet boy!
Tiberius(now Frederick) Adopted 11.17.17
Tiberius has a home with Scott & Laie and their 9 year old son, Alex! This is the families 5th Great Dane, and they had their eye on Tiberius from day one. This sweet boy will share his home with two Great Dane sisters; Shelby , a beautiful senior at 9 years old, and Edith who will be a great playmate, at age 2. Scott & Laie treat their Danes like their family, and they all do everything together. Tiberius will enjoy taking family walks, and going to the park. He will also attend school football games to cheer Alex on, and watch him score many touchdowns! The family has affectionately changed his name to Frederick. Way to go sweet boy!
Khaleesi(now Beatrice) Adopted 11.5.17
Khaleesi has a home with her new mama, Danielle, in Laramie, Wyoming! Khaleesi will be the 4th Great Dane for Danielle, and will share her home with a cat named Joey, and a Terrier Mix, Chaplin. Danielle is no stranger to owning a deaf Dane. She most recently lost her precious girl Abbie in May, who was also deaf, and vision impaired. Danielle is a volunteer with RMGDRI, so many of us got to meet Abbie at events, and she was a wonderful girl, and an amazing ambassador for the breed! Danielle has a lot of love to give, and with her experience, Khaleesi will be in excellent hands. They will enjoy a life of camping, road trips, hiking and snuggles on the couch! Danielle has affectionately changed Khaleesi's name to Beatrice, or Bee for short. We couldn't be happier for both Danielle and sweet Bee!
Hercules has a home with his new family, Chris, in Iowa! Hercules will be Chris's 3rd Dane, and he is so determined and dedicated to helping Hercules with his Wobbler's while giving him a loving, and supportive home. Chris has experienced medical issues before with both of his previous Danes, and understands that patience is at the top of the list for what Hercules needs in a family. Hercules will be the only dog in Chris' home, and will enjoy all the love and attention! Chris will be continuing the great care that Hercules was receiving in his foster home, and will seek out more ways to help keep Hercules comfortable, and mobile. We are so excited for this sweet boy!
Barnibus has a home with his new forever family, Dedee, Brian, and their 2 teenage children! This is the families 2nd Dane from RMGDRI! Barnabus, or Barney for short, will have two fur siblings to pal around with, Nyx, a 6 year old Border Collie mix, and Lucy, a calico cat. Dedee and her family were not afraid to adopt a senior( Barney is 8!) and are so excited to have him be a part of their family! They enjoy camping, hiking, and being outdoors, and will make sure Barney lives a happy, comfortable, and spoiled life! We are so happy for this sweet senior gentleman!
Tigs has a home with Beckie, Mark, and their 3 teenage children! Beckie grew up with Danes, and this will be the family's 4th Great Dane together. In May, they adopted a Great Dane puppy named Kingsley who is also black, and is almost the same age as Tigs. They could be brothers! In fact, when Kingsley and Tigs met, the family knew it was a perfect match by how well they got a long, and played together. Tigs (red collar) and Kingsley will have 15 acres of fenced yard to run and play on, and being both puppies, they will need it! Beckie works from home, and can devote as much time as necessary for training, and Dane snuggles! This family is very loving and devoted to their dogs, and will go above and beyond for them. We couldn't be happier for Tigs! Way to go sweet pup! Enjoy your new life!
Chester has a home with his foster family in Monument CO. Reesa & David are an experienced Dane family, having owned Great Danes for the last 15 years. They knew once Chester came into their home as a Foster, that he was home for good! Chester will share his home with Zoe, a 5 year old Dane who looks like she could be his sister. They have a large yard to play in, and enjoy being active with Reesa & David going most everywhere they go. We are so happy for Chester and his new family! Way to go sweet boy!!
Vic has a home with his new forever family, Audria and her sister Karen, in Denver, CO! This will be Audria and Karen’s 5th Dane from RMGDRI, and we are so happy that they chose to adopt Vic! He will enjoy being the only dog in the home, and will get all the attention he desires. Audria and Karen are excited to take him for walks around their neighborhood, and look forward to lots of play time with him in their back yard. Way to go sweet boy!
Kinnick has a home with her new forever family, Lupita & Jeremiah! This is their first Dane, and they fell in love with Kinnick from the minute they saw her on the website. Lupita & Jeremiah are looking forward to taking Kinnick hiking, running, and basically everywhere they go! This sweet girl will never be short of ear and belly rubs being the only pet in the home. They have affectionately renamed her Remington. Way to go sweet girl!
Kilo has a home with his foster family in Cherry Hills Village, CO. Sheryl is a DVM, and when she and Jay saw that a senior Dane needed a foster home, they stepped right up without hesitation! Sheryl has been providing Kilo with all of his veterinary needs, and has been helping him to lose a bit of weight with a great diet, and exercise. Kilo has been sharing his new home with a 7 year old Lab named Lucy, and an 8 year old Boxer, Lenny, as well as 2 horses. Jay works from home, so Kilo has been enjoying all the attention and love he can stand! We are so grateful to Sheryl and Jay for their dedication to this handsome senior, and they are over the moon happy with the newest member of their family! Way to go sweet Kilo!
Loki has a home with his foster family in Thornton, CO. Michelle opened her home to foster this sweet boy, and just couldn't bare to see him go. He fell right in step with her other dog, Missy, a 2.5 year old Rotty Mix, and the two of them can often be found playing tug together or romping around in their back yard. Michelle is not new to the breed, having had a Great Dane before, and after meeting Loki, she knew he was home. Michelle loves her new companion, and we couldn't be happier for them all! Way to go sweet Loki!!
Cezar has a home with his current foster family in Monument, CO. Don & Jenifer are no strangers to the breed having volunteered with us in the past, as well as being previous adopters. They have the time and dedication to give their Danes, and Cezar is certainly deserving of that! Cezar is enjoying his new home with IO, formerly Lisa, whom Don & Jenifer adopted from us a few years ago. Both Don & Jenifer work from home, and love spending lots of quality time with their wonderful Danes. They hike frequently in the park near their home, and allow Cezar and IO to roam their very large, wooded yard. They bought a van a few years ago they can take their Danes everywhere they go! They are a Great Dane family for sure! Way to go sweet Cezar, enjoy your new life!
Brutus has a home with his foster family in Parker CO! Jeremy and Kelly fell in love with Brutus instantly, and knew very early on that Brutus had found his forever home with them! Their son Jackson loves to walk Brutus around their neighborhood, and is excited to bring him to some of his little league baseball games. The family enjoys spending time outside, and plans to take Brutus everywhere they go. Jeremy mostly works from home, and Brutus is enjoying having someone with him during the day. He is getting all the love and attention he deserves! Way to go sweet boy!
Lola(now Ladybug) Adopted 8.1.2017
Lola has a home with her new forever family, Bill & Nicole in Arvada, CO. This will be the couple's first Great Dane, but Bill has wanted to own one since he was a teenager. Bill and Nicole love the outdoors, and Lola will enjoy hiking, going for long walks, and camping. She will also have the opportunity to go to work with Bill if she would like. Nicole works from home a couple days a week,so Lola will not be alone too often, and being the only pet in the home, will be soaking up all the love and attention she can stand! Nicole has affectionately changed her name to Ladybug. Way to go sweet Lola!
Duke has a home with his new forever family, Clint, in beautiful Bozeman Montana! Clint has been rescuing and rehabilitating Giant Breed dogs for over 23 years, including 5 Great Danes! Duke will share his new home with 2 other Great Danes, and an English Mastiff. He will have over 40 acres of fenced in land to roam on with mountain views, and enjoy morning and evening walks, at a seniors pace of course! Duke will live out his days with love and all the comforts a senior dog should have!
Willow has a home with her foster family in Aurora CO! Beth brought Willow into her home as a foster and just couldn't see letting her go! This is Beth's second Great Dane, and being the only pet in the home, Willow will enjoy getting all the back rubs, ear rubs, and snuggle time she can stand! We couldn't be happier for her, and her new family! Way to go sweet Willow!
Luna has a home with her new family in Moab, UT. Allison is beyond the moon excited to bring Luna home! She has a lot of love to give this sweet girl, and though a second dog may be added at a later date, Luna will enjoy being the only pet in the home for now. Luna will have a huge yard to play in, and in the warmer months, will enjoy long walks and hikes with her new mama. So happy for sweet Luna!
Blue has a home with his new family Mackenzie & Alec in Denver CO. This will be their first Great Dane. He will love all the attention and extra ear rubs. He will be the only pet in the home.and Alec is able to keep Blue company during the day. They plan on taking him for long walks in the parks, hiking, and anywhere they go together! We are so happy for this sweet boy!
Gracie(now Emma) Adopted 6.25.17
Gracie has a home with her foster family in Denver , CO. This will be the second time Joseph and Lauren have Foster Failed with us! They recently lost their sweet boy, Norman (previously Sinatra) whom they adopted 2 years ago, and are ready to fill their home with another Great Dane. Gracie will have a Boxer mix and two cats to play with in her new huge back yard, as well as enjoy camping trips and long walks.The family has affectionately renamed her Emma. Way to go sweet girl!
Angel has a home with her forever family, Taylor. This will be Taylor's first Great Dane, but she has always been drawn to the breed. Angel will be the only pet in the home, and can look forward to Taylor's undivided attention. Angel and Taylor will enjoy walks together, and lots of snuggle time! Way to go sweet Angel!
Elvis has a home with his foster family in Thornton, CO. Jen & Matt have had Elvis in their home as a foster for quite some time now. This sweet boy has some behavioral needs that this family has come to learn and have been very successful in accommodating since having him. The many years of Great Dane experience that Jen & Matt have will serve this sweet boy well. He's landed in his forever home and will never have to worry of another change in his life. We couldn't be happier for him and his new family. Way to go sweet Elvis.
Chimayo(now Tank) Adopted 5.26.17
Chimayo has a home with his foster family in Fountain, CO. Brandon is no stranger to Great Danes as he adopted his last Dane “Sherbert” from RMGDRI back in 2010. Sweet Sherbert has since passed and Brandon is now ready to fill his home and heart with another Dane. When a litter of sick puppies came into rescue he raised his hand to help one of them. This is when Chimayo entered his home! The two have bonded immensely and Brandon couldn’t bare to part with him. He has affectionately renamed him TANK. Way to go sweet boy.
Maya has a home with her foster family in Colorado Springs, CO. Kim and Reggie came to learn about RMGDRI at a public appearance. Neither have owned a Great Dane, but have been around mastiffs growing up and were excited of the opportunity to foster and adopt. Miss Maya has had a rough go of it since coming into rescue and the family has been by her side through her scares and surgeries to remove her cancer. At the moment this sweet girl is cancer free and will live her glory years out with undivided attention of a family who couldn't bare to see her leave their home. Way to go Maya!
Abby has found her forever home in Lakewood, CO with her foster family Lori and Ray. After nursing her through numerous health issues over the past 4 months, they just could not let her go. Abby is finally feeling well enough to play and has settled in to stay. Both Lori and Ray have loads of Dane experience and work from home so she will be under their watchful eyes and seldom be left alone. Way to go Abby!
Hercules has a home with his new adoptive family in Timmath, CO. Lisa and her family are excited to bring Hercules home and integrate him into their lives and pack. They have 3 labs and a cat, so Hercules will have plenty of attention. The family enjoys hikes on the weekend and frequent walks around their neighborhood during the week. When they found out that this sweet boy had Wobblers, they didn't bat an eyelash to wanting to tend to his needs now and as he grows older. They are all elated to bring him home. Way to go Hercules!
Hera has a home with her new family in Claremore, OK. Mark and his wife are elated to bring Hera home to their large piece of land. They have 4 others dogs in their home who live the life of luxury being able to romp through the pasture and follow Mark and his wife while they tend to the farm. The family works from home and are both able to provide loads of undivided attention to their animals. Way to go sweet Hera!!!
Peralta has a home with her foster family in Denver, CO. Denise & Jeremy along with their 2 kids have always been fond of Great Danes....Currently Miss Peralta gets to share the home with 2 other Great Danes! Mona and Lisa; both of whom are already showing Peralta the ropes and rules of the home. The family is very active and well known in the neighborhood. They love going to City Park with their furkids and also to local coffee shops with them. Peralta has it made with this family! Way to go sweet girl.

Capitan has a home with his foster family in Aurora, CO. Koti is a long time volunteer and adopter of RMGDRI. He has had several Danes and sadly lost his sweet female Dane Indy recently...so when we reached out to have him foster sickly Capitan he didn't bat an eye. The minute Capitan made it into Koti's home, there was no way he was leaving. His looks and demeanor reminded him of his sweet girl Indy and little Capitan latched onto his heartstrings. Koti has lovingly renamed him Ben! Way to sweet boy!
Taos(now Moose) Adopted 4.20.17
Taos has a home with his foster family in Elizabeth, CO. Taos is a very lucky guy. He has a full home who will give him lots of love....He has his new mom Sarah, her husband Jayar and their two kiddos as well as their Great Dane Newfie Mix "Charlie" to show him the ropes. Taos also has a cat to figure out which is going really well. The family lives in a rural area and loves to spend time outdoors. The family has affectionately renamed him Moose! Way to go handsome boy.
Myka has a home with her new adoptive family in Sidney, MT. Thomas, his wife and two teen daughters are no stranger to owning Great Danes. They are happy to have a new addition to their home and can't wait to integrate Myka into their brood. The family has a lot of space for their dogs to play outside and have free roam indoors as well. If the sun is out....he family is out with their dogs! There is no doubt that Myka will be loved and have a life of endless walks, cuddles, legs to lean on and a space to have Great Dane zoomies! Carlsbad has a home with his new adoptive family Sally, Jason and their two children in Longmont, CO. The family has a sweet 9 year old Dane named Abby who lost her buddy 2 years ago. Time has healed their hearts and they are finally ready to fill the hole in their home with another Dane. When the opportunity arose to foster sweet Carlsba the family knew it was a no-brainer! Little Carlsbad, now named Gordon has melted their hearts and fit right into their home. Way to go sweet boy
Shiloh has a home with her new adoptive family in Leadville, CO. Derek, his wife and their daughter have always had a fond love for Great Danes.They currently have a female 7 year old Dane whom they're excited to have a companion for. Shiloh will be able to roam their large property with Diesel, go on family outings on the weekend and trips in the summer. Everything they do their dogs are always a part of it. Way to go Shiloh!!!
Raton(now Zeus) Adopted 4.3.17
Raton has a home with his foster family in Colorado Springs, CO. Viktoria and Christopher have always had a soft spot for Great Danes....They currently have an 11 year old female Dane who has been so happy having another dog in the home. Before Raton came into the picture, the family had been waiting to fill the hole in their hearts and home with another Dane. They lost their 2 female Danes recently, one to cancer and the other to old age....So now, having a spunky little Great Dane Puppy in their home has kept everyone busy and on their toes! The family as affectionately renamed him Zeus!
Tularosa(now Danni) Adopted 4.1.17
Tularosa has a home with her new foster family in Albuquerque, NM. Cynthia, Miguel and their 3 children are elated to have a Great Dane into their home again! The family currently has a German Shepard Mix who Tularosa will get to hang with and play on the families property. On the weekends they all like to go for walks and often times go to their parents home where they have a huge piece of property where the dogs can roam freely!The family has affectionately renamed her Danni.
Aries has a home with his new adoptive family in Highlands Ranch, CO. Karen and Stan have been following RMGDRI and going to our rescues Meet n Greets for quite some time. They currently have a 6-year-old female Dane whom they wanted a companion for. Fortunately, when the family and their Dane Munchkin met with Aries the whole gang got along great! Karen and Stan enjoy relaxing weekends at home and getting out for walks. Way to go Aries!!!!
Hank has a home with his new family in Whitefish, MT. This will be Jody's first Dane and she couldn't be more elated to bring him home. Jody is incredibly active and would really love a buddy to keep her company as she goes on light jogs around her home. Lucky Hank is going to be able to accompany Jody to work a few days a week...so this boy will rarely be left home alone. We couldn't be happier for Jody and Hank. Way to go boy!
Charlo has a home with her new family in Witchita, KS. Liz is no stranger to Great Danes. In fact Liz has a heart for senior Danes and has always been able to provide a loving home for them to spend their latter days. Charlo will have another Dane named Sophie, a Lab named Lola and a house cat named Luna to share her new forever home with. Liz's pet are her kids and will do anything and everything for them!! Luckily each animal in the home has Liz with them almost 24/7! Charlo will be able to enjoy walks in the neighborhood and unconditional love from Liz. Way to go sweet girl!
Dio(now Ludo) Adopted 1.3.17
Dio has a home with his foster family in Aurora, CO. Ria & Craig have been waiting for the right time to fill the hole in their home and hearts after loosing their last Dane a year ago. When Dio was placed in their home as a foster.....that shy, scared, apprehensive boy warmed up quicker than anyone imagined. Dio knew he found his spot and wasn't going anywhere else. He's come out of his timid shell and is loving the undivided attention in the home. We are so happy for Ria & Craig. They have affectionately renamed him "Ludo". Way to go sweet boy!
Apollo has a home with his foster family in Frederick, CO. Kyle and Hannah are new to the breed and have loved having Apollo in their home. They have worked with Apollo and the rescue on getting him the training he needed to feel safe and happy and more importantly "at home". The family is very active, they enjoy trail hikes in Boulder, swimming and camping! When they can, they include their fur-kids. Apollo will be able to spend his days with a sweet Black Lab named Mayday, and Thomas the cat. Congratulations Apollo!!!!!
